The Cardiovascular Disease Prevention Program is a specialized service for those who would like to:
Reduce their risk for cardiovascular disease including heart attacks, stroke, and vascular disease
Reduce their chances for having progression of cardiovascular disease
Have comprehensive assessment and treatment of risk factors
Improve overall quality of life
The Program welcomes patients for either a one-time consultation or for ongoing counseling and treatment. People who may benefit from our program include those with one or more risk factors, a family history of cardiovascular disease, diabetes, or have just had bypass surgery or a stent placed. We will coordinate plans with a primary provider or specialist from who you may be receiving medical care. After each visit, you will receive a written summary and treatment plan.
Some of the components of our program include:
Cholesterol and full lipid profile testing and treatment
Management of high blood pressure
Smoking cessation
Nutrition evaluation
Weight loss program
Physical fitness assessment and exercise prescription
Complete vascular screening
